Lockerz Member - Cool Gift Winner.

This is the video of the Cool Gift winner here at lockerz blog. It is also the daily for 11-26-09.

This is his legit story:

Hey ya'll, for all the doubters still out there, please give up the sorry attitude because Lockerz isn't a scam.

In October, I redeemed for the "Cool Gift". About a month later, I finally found out what this prize was going to be. True, that may be a bit long, but still, patience is a VIRTUE. I ended up winning 4 video games of my CHOICE on ANY system, plus the unique opportunity to visit the Lockerz HQ in Pittsburgh. They paid a full round trip fare from Baltimore to Pittsburgh for my flight on US Airways, but I told them that wasn't necessary because my actual home is in Pittsburgh and I would be there that week in late November for Thanksgiving break. I spent the afternoon with Kerry, who is the merchandising manager in charge of picking items for the PTZ Place and the future store. Her and her team of 3 or so other ladies were extremely friendly. They previously worked with Kathy at American Eagle Outfitters (which is also headquartered in Pittsburgh, the city of CHAMPIONS!) I met Kathy Savitt, the CEO, and the boys who do the dailies. They even hosted me in the dailies video for "What are you most thankful for?" All of these employees were very welcoming and friendly. I was able to pet and hold Odyss, the dog. Surprisingly, he didn't like me very much lol. It was a very small office, and the others were hard at work. I saw stacks of computer programming books. Lots of activity. Kerry and her coworkers took me out to Primanti Brothers (the best sandwiches on the PLANET found only in the 'burg) and we walked around the Strip District, which is where the office was previously located. It has since moved to a new location within downtown near the river. They simply ran out of space for a growing company. My prizes were delivered to my home address, including DJ HERO, Modern Warfare 2, Tiger Woods '10, and Need For Speed Shift all for PS3. I only really play DJ HERO and MW2 but still, that was an amazing prize and a fun experience.

In the December 31st redemption, I redeemed for a 13" MacBook. I had been eagerly anticipating this date for about a week, because nobody knew the date or time of the redemption. I frequently checked back and ended up getting extremely lucky at about 5:23-5:24. My redemption was successful, and I received my receipt about a week and a half later. I asked for the prize to be shipped to my college address in MD, so hopefully it will be there when I return tomorrow.

Lockerz is able to provide all these prizes free of charge because they are funded by an extremely large advertising conglomerate, Liberty Media. To them, this is merely pocket change, and they know that the potential of Lockerz is huge and they are willing to take that risk.

If you didn't get a chance to redeem, that's just the way it is. Life goes on. It took a little luck to get the prizes I got. You gotta be in the right place at the right time. Along with knowing the right people and putting in hard work, those are the keys to success in life. I've experienced much of this already. Lockerz is no scam, because they take NOTHING from their members, send out NO spam, and hold up their end of the bargain in prize redemptions. It may prove difficult sometimes, because they clearly did not anticipate having over 5 million members in the first 6 months of business. No website anticipates that kind of growth. Not even Facebook or Amazon.com ever did.

As the next few months and years unfold, we may see Lockerz turn into a significant player in the social networking department. When the website is launched in full, I hope they will make responsible decisions and provide excellent customer support, because customer relations are HUGE in maintaining a business. And hopefully the site will be entertaining and exciting, something we can all use on a daily basis to connect with others and the media world around us. Only time will tell. For now, they are doing the best they can with the resources (i.e. servers and staff) that they have. Give em a break and enjoy the fact that they are giving prizes out for literally no cost at all.

End of my spiel on Lockerz. Have a great day!
